Here are some pics of baby Evan and me at the Field of Dreams( we went a few weeks ago) I was so excited to go there- I've wanted to go there ever since I saw the movie. The third picture with the flowers is in Nauvoo. We had a great summer. Baby Evan is growing so fast. He's almost five months old now and now that we are in our new place he officially has his own room. I bought him a $20 crib at goodwill. Best purchase ever. He is sleeping better. I'll post pictures of his room and the new place soon. I definitely miss the old place and neighbors there (in case you missed my last few posts...) but we like it here as well. We have some beautiful places to walk not far from our apartment. We hung out at the pool earlier this week, enjoyed seeing friends again at church and went with some friends to see Shawn Johnson's welcome home party- the olympic gymnast from West Des Moines. James started school this week- where did the summer go? It wasn't too bad this week-getting used to James being back in school and with homework- until I came down with a cold. It's not fun being sick- Mostly I just don't want Evan to get it. Anyway I feel mostly moved in. It was exhausting to move so much this summer and I'm really glad to finally be in a place where we can feel a little more permanent. Is anyone else sad that the Olympics are over? I loved watching them and am going through withdrawals! Like I mentioned earlier, Shawn Johnson is from West Des Moines and it was fun to watch "Iowa's Golden Girl". Of course there's always the Democratic Convention which is so exciting to watch (not really) James was really sweet and got me some books at the library to read. I guess I'll go do that now. More on the new place later.

I love the cornfield picture! I thought of Field of Dreams when I saw it--before I even knew that's where you really were!
I'm glad you're mostly moved in now--but sorry you've been so sick. I just came down with a cold, myself. I blame stress. Anyhow, I hope the popcorn helped with your coughing!!! (hee hee)
By the way, I'd love to see some pics of your new apartment! Is there a swimming pool at your apt. complex?
