The powerful results of What Not To Wear

This is one of my favorite shows and I had it on today while I was cooking. James was home, and he made some funny comment about the show and I said:
"Hey, I really love this show. It's really inspired me to try to dress nicer and not look so frumpy." (I was being very serious)
James took one look at me, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon wearing sweats and a sweatshirt, not having showered or done my hair or make-up at all, and he replied, "I can tell."
We both just started laughing! It was pretty funny. Here I was pouring out my testimonial of the show- but my clothes spoke a lot louder! Maybe you had to be there. Of course he was joking... Anyway, then we started discussing what Stacy and Clinton would have to say about my outfit- pink monkey sweatshirt and all. "How old are you, 13???" I guess I need to keep watching a little more since I still have a few things to learn. :)

I love that. I got a good laugh. I love that show. I haven't watched in ages since we don't have cable. I wonder how much longer until I break down and get it.

That's hilarious!!! I'm glad you didn't take yourself (or the situation) too serious in the moment and that you got a good laugh at it!

Haha! I have few things to learn too.

I think Staci & Clinton would forgive you since you were in your house. Its cozy to be in sweats sometimes!

I like everything about that show except one little thing....and that is:

I haven't seen Stacie & Clinton give anyone's wardrobe ANY slack. They say every single article of clothing should be thrown out. But I've seen several peoples wardrobes that have one or two pieces of clothing that look exactly like the standard of clothing articles that Staci & Clinton approve of.

So its a little confusing as to why EVERY item in EVERYONE'S wardrobe is not approved. But I do agree that usually the contestants entire wardrobe is not very attractive.

Sorry for the long essay! Just my observations. I like the show very much too. (I'm certainly not the perfect example all the time either!) Haha.

Oh, hey I don't know Stephanie's e-mail address to ask her to invite me to her Blog? Can you "connect" me so to speak? Thanks for your comments!

That's so funny. I told Joel and he laughed. Remember my way bad pink days? That show would have loved to have at that wardrobe. But the good news is I don't fit in any of those clothes anymore and they have mostly been DI'd. Teaching has really helped me want to dress nice. But I'm still a true frump who wears sweats on weekends.
